They can them traget people online, promote their site and products for free and create an online network for facebook users to find out more about the website.
Here was the strategy plan that I created:
Strategy plan for facebook promotion of my-deluxe.com 1.)
Alter layout of facebook page, like this one,
The background could be really bold and
eyecatching in either the background of the my-deluxe. com website or a
specifically created image or even an image from the internet.
2.) Create a short video perhaps of a mini-catwalk show/ photoshoot or even a compilation of images with models wearing looks put together from the garments and accessories available on the website.
2.) Create a short video perhaps of a mini-catwalk show/ photoshoot or even a compilation of images with models wearing looks put together from the garments and accessories available on the website.
The video could have a voiceover describing
the types of clothing, designers and the new looks that can be created from
shopping on the website for an added dramatic effect.
3.)
A ‘Like’ tab is created separately for the video
and linked to the facebook page, when facebookers click on the ‘Like’ tab, they
can view the video as well as being connected the facebook page which boosts
viewings and followers of the page.
This ‘Like’ tab will also create a desire
to access the page as it is not accessible to everyone, creating an elitist
area which followers of fashion will want to be a part of.
4.) Add a twitter feed to the page so that readers can get instant access to the twitter account, latest my-deluxe offers, fashion designers and brands available and updates of what is available to buy online straight to their facebook account. Through doing this, we will gain more followers to the page and to the website through the excitement of following a great fashion site on twitter through the ease of their facebook pages. It will also provide new, updated, interesting comments which in turn will create and add interest to the facebook page.

5.) A contact form can be added to the page to make it easier for people to contact the website directly with their questions and enquiries as well as provide helpful feedback about the page and twitter accounts. They could even comment on the layout of the actual website, stating what might be improved or what they would like to see on the website in terms of design and/or fashion offered.
6.) Add a fan coupon which means that devout followers can get discounts off the clothing for a limited period of time or another limited VIP promotional offer.
Competitor
research.
ASOS:- Have links to
different pages that their clothing has been mentioned in, so we could have
links to different fashion blogs, trend pages which can be re-created with
my-deluxe clothing. We could also casually blog about anything of interest such
as relevant films, TV programmes, fashion related information and observations.
They have links to their latest deals and fashion shoots
which could also be done for my-deluxe.
They have a discussions page in which fans and followers can
discuss fashion related subjects amongst themselves through the page like a
chat room.
They have a lot of different images of their shoots, shows
and products. Images of the clothing sold on my-deluxe could be posted in
different albums for different collections and seasons. Albums of ‘looks’ could
be created using polyvore so that people can see how the items might be worn
with other items available thus increasing sales.
They have a link to their own page, promoting it which can
easily be done.
They set up styling competitions with their products which
can be done using polyvore, encouraging users to actively get involved, be
creative and in turn using followers of the page to promote the website, the
fashion available and encouraging them to shop with us.
They use instagram which is an app that enables followers to
click quickly on different sections to see the latest goings on from shoots to
editorial procedures and behind the scenes ‘gossip.’
They have enabled the friend activity feature which allows
users to see what their friends have been doing on the page, encouraging them
to get actively involved themselves.
They also have a men’s section which I think is a
particularly good idea, as men may be harder to target. The section is part of
the main page but has its own separate ‘like’ tab so that men can be seen to
just like that aspect of it on their own facebook feeds thus targeting a
broader market range.
They have a section for their latest big features, offers,
promotions and discounts so this is something to consider offering.
They have an information page with all of the information
people need to know about ASOS including their twitter accounts, blogs, images
and app sections, compiling them all into one section makes it easier for the
user.
They often update their status referring to their offers,
promotions and latest collections available which is very easy to do.
My-wardrobe.
They don’t have such a big facebook page as ASOS and use
similar tools.
They post questions asking the users about their own style
of clothing, what they might like to buy and wear and the kinds of trends and
looks they are enjoying this season.
They offer competitions as well as styling competitions for
vouchers to use at the online store again encouraging active engagement.
They also have links to different photo accounts, beauty and
trend pages, images and videos for users to associate with the website.
They have lots of videos and interviews from not only their
own shoots and events but street styling too.
They too have the friend activity enabled, access to plenty
of photo albums and their information and links to other accounts compiled in
one place.
They also have plenty of people to like their pictures,
comment on them and send links to their friends as well as adding lots of
people. It’s worth hiring people to actively promote the website as a user
themselves.
