I got the opportunity to attend an interview for casual dressing work at the Birmingham Hippodrome, which would mean working in and with the costume department. My tasks will range from fixing and mending costumes, delivering costumes to the different dressing rooms, parts of the theatre and to the performers. It will also involve dressing the performers in particular carrying out quick changes backstage when they need to change their outfits and get back on stage in a matter of minutes! Pressure!
This will be a valuable experience for me though as it will enable me to make some contacts in the theatre, costume and performance world as well as gaining important styling/dressing credits for my CV!
Above all, it's paid! Which I am very excited about!!
